Stella Bass

“Stella Bass is a classically-trained singer and musician whose repertoire is incredibly versatile.”
– Evening Herald

Dublin-based Stella Bass is one of Ireland’s most sought-after church singers, whose versatile vocal style can tackle anything from Eva Cassidy to Aretha Franklin to Bach – even Christy Moore is in her repertoire.

She has performed in theatres and venues all over Ireland, as well as in the UK, France, Austria and Greece, and has TV/radio credits including "The Late Late Show", "Ireland AM", "Open House", "Let Me Entertain You" and "Theatre Nights". A BSc graduate of UCD, Stella is also an accomplished musician.

She completed her music diploma in 2000, and won a High Achiever Award in singing in the Royal Irish Academy of Music in 2006. As well as performing, she teaches singing and piano in her native Dublin.

Stella performs at, on average, over 80 weddings per year, and includes classical, Irish and modern music in her repertoire. Generally, she works with her own organist/piano player, but this can be augmented with additional instruments, e.g. violin, cello or flute. She also regularly performs with a string quartet or string trio.

Audio samples and DVD are on www.stellabass.com where you can also listen to over 80 favourite wedding songs on her website, making life a lot easier when selecting your ceremony music.

You can view her repertoire on the website, but this is by no means a definitive list, and if you have a special song you’d like Stella to learn, that’s no problem.

In addition, Stella sings with her accomplished jazz trio, who are constantly in demand for high-end corporate events such as the RBS Six Nations, the Curragh Races and the Ryder Cup – ideal to set the tone as your guests arrive at the hotel for the drinks reception.
